Internship: Vanessa Delvanaz

Year in School & Major:
graduate student in Museum Studies
Internship/Job Organization:
American Museum of Natural History

What were your responsibilities?

This past summer, I worked on curating a large, recently donated collection of fossil invertebrates by helping to re-house, catalog, and database over 1,000 specimens. In my picture, I'm holding a fossil bivalve clam that is around 300 million years old.

What advice do you have for other students?

When looking for internships, I suggest applying to anything and everything that is of interest of you, even if you don’t think you are qualified! You never know what they are looking for.
