2019 Education Interview Day
The University Career Center will host its annual Education Interview Day on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Kansas Union. This event is open to graduating students interested in obtaining a teaching or support position within K-12 education. Participants have the opportunity to complete 30 minute screening interviews with up to 10 school districts for openings in all teaching fields as well as special education, school social work, school psychology, counseling, speech-language pathology, physical/occupational therapy, administration, and other areas. Typically, over 65 school districts from across Kansas, Missouri, and a number of other states attend this event.

Signing up for interviews
Go to the sign up page to view detailed sign-up instructions and to get started once the sign-ups are live.
You may sign up for 30-minute screening interviews with school districts for Education Interview Day beginning 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17th until 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 18th through HireJayhawks.com. Interview slots still open after February 18th will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at each employer’s table between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on March 5th.
In order to sign up for interviews with the districts before the day of the event, you must have an updated Hire Jayhawks account, including an electronic copy of your resume (PDF files work best).

7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Set-up and breakfast refreshments
8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Day of interview sign-ups begin at district tables. Please be at your tables by 8:30 if you have open interview timeslots available.
9:00 a.m. - First Interview Begins (Interviews occur every ½ hour)
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Buffet lunch in the Kansas Room, 6th Floor
2:30 p.m. - Last Interview Begins
Candidate interviews
Candidates will have the opportunity to sign up for interviews prior to the event, beginning 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17th until 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 18th, 2019. Students and alumni from other area schools are invited to register for the event two weeks prior to the sign-up deadline (February 4th - 18th). Interview slots still available after sign-ups close may be issued to candidates on the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis by YOU at YOUR INTERVIEW TABLES. For that reason, it is important for you to be present at Education Interview Day by 8:30 a.m. Information regarding how to access interview schedules will be emailed after pre-event interview sign-ups are completed.
