Parents play an important role in guiding their college students through the career development process. To help keep you informed about University Career Center services, resources, and events, we maintain this website and publish a weekly newsletter, KUCareerHawk.com Weekly, to which you can subscribe.
Services Available to Students
The University Career Center provides part-time job resources and career coaching for all KU students as well as job search assistance for students in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences; the School of Architecture, Design & Planning; the School of Education; and the School of Social Welfare. Students can use University Career Center services throughout their college experience to explore career options, build effective job search skills, and make valuable connections with employers. Individual appointments for students include:
- Major and Career Exploration
- Internship and Job Search Strategies
- Resume, Cover Letter, and CV Reviews
- Mock Interviews
- Personal Statement Reviews for Graduate or Professional School
Fees for Services
Nearly all of our services are free for students, but we do collect fees for career assessments. Fees for assessments are $20 for one assessment (either Strong Interest Inventory or Do What You Are) or $40 for both. StrengthsFinder is also available for $10.
